Can't really say that I had a bad experience. I did reach out because my landlord is violating my lease agreement, I want to terminate my lease and I recieved a text saying that I should call the BAR? I thought a breach of contract agreement and simple law violation in the city was something this firm handled, but maybe not?

Spoke with Charles on this past Saturday regarding a issue with the mortgage holders of the unit I'm renting. He's a straight shooter, knowledgeable, sharp and provided solid information. There's one thing he said that will stay with me and can be applied to any area of life and that was, "it's ok to extend grace, but make sure you protect yourself while doing so".

I called and explained my issue. I was immediately referred to C.A.R.P.L.S. which is a nonprofit organization for low income people. Plain and simple, I was profiled . I would not recommend this organization.

Never too late to write a positive review! I worked with Charles in 2018 to help get me out of my lease and he was amazing! Still to this day the best $700 I've ever spent. Never underestimate the power of a strongly worded letter from an attorney. We were able to get out of our lease and get our security deposit with no issues. If you have a stubborn landlord who won't meet you at the bargaining table, hire this attorney right now.

Spoke to a lawyer from this firm about an eviction complaint that has been filed against me and they lied to my face the entire conversation, saying there was nothing that can be done and court-based ERP rental assistance has dried up, which I've since learned is completely false. Instead of providing honest, useful information for the benefit of the tenant, he said whatever he needed to say to scare me into giving him $400 and subsequently letting me get evicted. Would not recommend this firm if you're a tenant facing issues with your landlord, they are not on your side.
